Cleveland Some motorists go for specialty number plates to show their sporting allegiances. Some religious people, pet lovers and greens like to advertise their views.
That's why Cleveland's 250th Anniversary Committee thought specialty number plates celebrating Cleveland would be a good idea.
The committee is selling specialty number plates featuring the the American Bald Eagle and the letters "CL" for Cleveland to raise funds for Cleveland's 250th anniversary in 2015. The specialty fee will be $32, which is not payable until the number plates are delivered.
"We have to get 3000 orders before production of the number plates can begin," Committee member William Davies said. "This is a great way for anyone in Cleveland to celebrate the city's anniversary by showing it on their number plates."
Townsfolk can sign up for the number plates online or apply to the committee through the post.
